Angela Williams
Navigator
Angela brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as a local Health Centre Community Liaison Advisor, a Senior Probation Officer (now retired) and former National Vice Chair of her union, NAPO. Currently a Food Share trustee, and Chair of the accredited Llangollen Age and Dementia Friends, she helps you to work out the right help and support for you.

Beth Harrison
Admin and data support
Beth is responsible for managing behind-the-scenes operations to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery. She oversees a range of administrative and operational tasks that keep the organization running smoothly. This includes managing finances, handling day-to-day administrative duties, responding to emails, designing promotional materials like leaflets, and maintaining accurate data records. By coordinating these behind-the-scenes processes, Beth helps ensure that our programmes and services are delivered efficiently and effectively.

Beth Williams
Peer Navigator and Creative Facilitator
Beth warmly welcomes new and regular participants to Community Wellness. She helps explore your needs, listening, supporting, and connecting you to the right people/ groups/ tables to help you on your journey, or signposting you to other services which may be beneficial. As a creative facilitator, Beth also provides a safe, expressive space to explore barriers and nurture personal growth.

Dani Sudlow
Self Regulation & Self Discovery
Dani guides people to turn inward, to explore their inner landscape where true transformation begins. Her practices begin by creating safety in the body through nervous system regulation and stress release. Sessions may include movement, tapping, somatics, breath and energy control, heart-opening exercises, meditation, Yoga Nidra, mindful living practices, and deep relaxation – creating safety, releasing stress, and transforming struggle into deeper balance and ease.

Dr Emma Presern
Therapeutic Mentor , Breathwork Facilitator and Director
Emma is a GP and founder of Rebellious Health, a community supporting burnt out and forward-thinking healthcare professionals. At Community Wellness, she brings a passion for reimagining healthcare from the ground up; connecting those who believe healing begins in community. She dreams of a more human, regenerative and relational healthcare ecosystem, that helps people find purpose, connection and healing in their communities and within nature.

Dr Gwyn Carney
Trauma Sensitive GP
Gwyn is a local GP at Caritas Surgery. At Community Wellness, he explores our understanding and preconceptions of health, disease and wellness. Gwyn says: “Sometimes we make ourselves more unwell through “mind forg’d manacles” – time to break the chains!” Gwyn values making health fair for patients and healthcare workers and has long championed the work of Community Wellness, even before he joined the team.

Dr Karen Sankey
Founding Director and Therapeutic Lead
Karen is the Founding Director of Community Wellness and works as a trauma-trained Therapeutic Coach with both individuals and groups. She is passionate about helping people understand how stress affects our health and creating safe, supportive spaces where they can heal and live more meaningful lives.

Kathleen Coventry
Delivery Coordinator
Kathleen says she does a little bit of this and a little bit of that in her role as Delivery Coordinator – in other words, in magical terms, she brings a pinch of this and a pinch of that, making the tweaks and adjustments, often behind the scenes, that make all the difference and keeps the team on track!

From personal experience, Kathryn knows how daunting and difficult it can be to take that first step when anxiety feels overwhelming. At Community Wellness, we have all been there, and Kathryn is here with a welcoming smile and the offer of a cuppa and a chat to ascertain your needs. You’ll be amongst friends and guided towards the right support for your needs.

Laura Davies
Community Navigator and Creative Station Facilitator
Laura is a lived experience peer mentor and a voluntary graduate of the programme, who offers relational support and perspective. She also facilitates visual arts and crafts to support meaning making and engagement.

Leigh Ann Hills
Food Provision
Leigh Ann is a passionate home cook who finds joy in feeding people and creating meals that nourish both body and soul. The kitchen is her happy place, and she’s always thinking about how to make meals healthier, heartier and full of flavour. She believes that nutritious food should be something we can all enjoy, and that sitting down to a shared meal isn’t just about eating, but about conversation, connection, and the quiet power of community.

Nan Pickering
Self Expression, Storytelling and Writing for Wellbeing Facilitator
Nan draws on a lifetime of professional storytelling with intuition, compassion and empathy, to help and support people to express themselves. Through writing and sharing stories in a safe, supportive space, she curates a space for people to uncover their inner truth and connect with their most authentic selves, creating room for a shift into real transformation.

Rhys Williams
Community Champion
Rhys values family and friends, fun, and helping others. At Community Wellness, he leads nature walks and organises fun and games. Rhys is also a Pokémon professor – a judge of the Pokémon card game.

Richard Coan
Community Connector and Resident Artist
Rich creates a welcoming space where people can explore what matters to them, collaborate creatively, and connect with others in the project. He believes that everyone should have the chance to be themselves, play a part and make a difference. He wants to see a compassionate, inclusive society where all can grow and flourish.

Ryan Holland
Trauma Sensitive Counsellor
Ryan meets people where they are, offering presence, compassion, empathy and gentle guidance, and drawing from her own lived experiences throughout her life. Ryan values integrity, and has an ongoing hunger, curiosity and open mind for self development, and deepening her relationships with family and friends.

Shelley Stanworth
Nature Connection Facilitator
Shelley knows first-hand the benefits nature holds for healing. She has grown through Community Wellness and found purpose in sharing her passion. She believes that we can improve our own health and that of our communities by reconnecting and aligning ourselves with the rhythms of the natural world.
